Al DiSanti is the Manager of Video Production and Executive Producer of Molta Media. He began his career as a producer/editor and photojournalist for News 12 Long Island, a 24-hour cable news channel in New York. It was there he began to hone his skills in television production, while developing a love for his new found talents. Working in the harsh environment of live broadcasts, Al learned the importance of meeting deadlines while maintaining quality programming. After a short time freelancing for CNN, Al was hired on staff and began working on the award winning “Style with Elsa Klensch,” a program covering the world of high fashion and interior design. Al's responsibilities included editing and technical directing both long and short form video segments as well post-producing the show for broadcast. Always eager and enthusiastic, Al began to evolve the show by giving it a fresh sophisticated look and staying ahead of growing competition. Within a short time, Al was promoted to editor/producer, a role that gave him the opportunity to expand upon his innovative and edgy ideas. Al's talent producing CNN's highest rated weekend show led to his work on “Showbiz Today”, a highly stylized daily program covering the world of entertainment and “He Said, She Said”, a movie review show hosted by Peter Travers of Rolling Stone Magazine and Lisa Shwartzbaum of Entertainment Weekly . Always the pioneer, Al was often called on to produce and edit new show opens, high-energy segments, and unique stories. Most recently, as CNN has expanded it's programming, Al has been involved with “American Morning”, “Anderson Cooper 360”, “Paula Zahn Now” and former “News Night With Aaron Brown.” He has covered the Cannes and Australian Film Festivals and the Paris and Milan Fashion Shows, enjoying the pursuit of exciting television, wherever the story takes him. Never one to sit idle, Al has pursued numerous independent
projects for Trish McEvoy Makeup, JBL Home Audio and Judith Leiber Accessories.
He has also freelance edited for the ABC Network. Al lives in
Long Island, New York with his wife and their two children. |
