about the founder: Laura Molta
Laura Molta is an award winning TV producer who has worked in the national media for more than a decade. Locally, she has produced segments for "Chronicle" and special projects for the former WLVI-Boston's WB, which earned her two Emmy Nominations and a New York Festivals Silver World Medal.
After a lengthy stint as a CNN Producer in New York City, Laura returned home to Boston where in addition to running Molta Media, she continues to work as a freelance producer for ABC, NBC, CBS, CNBC, CNN, MSNBC and various independent production companies.
Laura is an accomplished voiceover artist who has narrated numerous videos and TV/Radio spots. Her resume also includes writing and producing two live one-hour specials for Boston's WB - "Real Talk Live: Team Harmony," which earned her both a New York Film Festivals 2004 Silver World Medal Award and Emmy Nomination for Outstanding Children's Program and "Empower Peace: Pledging for Pakistan," which also earned an Emmy Nomination.
Over the last few years, Laura has found a new passion in documentary filmmaking, where her credits include segment producer on the PBS documentary, "Crashing the Parties" and the Film Festival favorite, "Hell Driver's: America's Original Crash Test Dummies."
Laura wrote and produced the documentary, "Blood, Sweat and Cheers" which made its worldwide debut at the Independent Film Festival Boston (IFFBoston) in April 2009 and is currently producing a documentary about a Flying Car (2011); both in conjunction with Award Productions.
A University of Massachusetts at Amherst graduate with a Bachelor of Arts and a degree in Communications, Laura also spent a semester in London studying theater and film production.
Laura is an avid world traveler with a passion for adventure, culture and great food.
